Insta360 air camera
Finally, last week I received the Insta360 air camera, a 360-degree camera for Android. It's capable of capturing images with 3008x1504 pixels (3k) resolution and video with 2560x1280 (2k) resolution and it has a maximum aperture of f/2.4. Insta360 Air is very intuitive to use, because, plugging the camera to the phone and launching the Insta360 app, you can immediately capture images, record video or do a live-stream to YouTube or Facebook.
The app is well designed and works very well on the smartphone (I tried it with a Huawei P9). In the app there are also a lot of filter that you can add to your image or video.
The camera comes in a pack with a manual of instructions and a rubber protection.
The price is of 129 USD.
Finalmente la scorsa settimana ho ricevuto la videocamera Insta360 air, una videocamera per Android capace di creare splendide foto e video a 360°.
Con una risoluzione massima di 3008x1504 pixels (3k) per le foto e 2560x1280 (2k) per i video, ha un’ apertura di diaframma massima di f/2.4.
Insta360 Air è molto intuitiva da utilizzare, basta collegarla allo smartphone e aprire l’ app per cominciare a scattare foto, registrare video o realizzare live streaming su YouTube e Facebook. L’ app è ben disegnata e molto fluida (l’ ho provata con un Huawei P9), e presenta anche la possibilità di applicare differenti filtri alle immagini e alle riprese video. La camera viene venduta con una custodia protettiva in gomma e nello scatolo sono presenti anche una pezzuola e il manuale di istruzioni.
Il prezzo è di 129 euro.
Feiyutech α2000 3-axis gimbal
After a long research on the web I finally found the right 3-axis gimbal, the Feiyutech α2000. Durable construction and reliable materials make the α2000 a great option for all the people who are searching a motorized 3-axis gimbal with a perfect price/quality ratio. I bought the dual handle-bar version to have the best control on the gimbal and on the camera, but there is also the single-bar version.
The gimbal comes packaged in a case containing the gimbal, 4 batteries (2 pairs for a total of 6 hours of operation), a battery charger, a mini tripod support and a quick release plate. The α2000 is very versatile, as it can be set up in 3 operation modes: Panning, pan+tilt, lock modes. During the first calibration I had some difficulty but it was easy to get used to it quickly.
Having 4 different options to grip it (Two-Handed, Two-Handed Inverted, Single-Handed and Single-Handed Upright), it’s really simple to use and let you capture all the awesome moments that you want.
There is also an app, and linking the gimbal to your phone via Bluetooth you can customize the motor speeds and update the firmware, and it makes this gimbal perfect for amateur and professional videomakers.
The price for the complete version is 899 euro, and 699 euro for the single-bar version.

Dopo molte ricerche sul web ho finalmente trovato il giusto stabilizzatore a 3 assi, il Feiyutech α2000.
Costruzione resistente e materiali affidabili rendono l’ α2000 un’ottima scelta per tutti coloro che cercano un gimbal con ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Ho acquistato il gimbal nella versione con due impugnature, per avere il miglior controllo sullo stabilizzatore e sulla camera, ma sul mercato è presente anche la versione con una sola impugnatura.
Il gimbal viene venduto con un case rigido contenente lo stabilizzatore, 4 batterie (2 paia, per una durata totale di circa 6 ore), un caricabatterie, un mini treppiedi da supporto e la piastra a sgancio rapido. L’ α2000 è molto versatile, dato che può essere settato in tre modalità: Panning, pan+tilt e con i motori brushless bloccati in una data posizione.
Durante la prima calibrazione ho avuto qualche difficoltà, ma è molto semplice abituarsi a calibrarlo ed utilizzarlo.
Avendo 4 diversi metodi di impugnatura (con due mani, con due mani invertito, con una mano e con una mano dall’alto), è molto semplice da usare e ti permette di immortalare momenti eccezionali. È presente anche un’applicazione che, collegando il gimbal allo smartphone via Bluetooth, permette di regolare la velocità dei motori ed aggiornare il firmware, e ciò fa di questo stabilizzatore qualcosa di eccezionale per i videomaker amatoriali e professionali!
Il prezzo per la versione completa è di circa 899 euro, mentre per la versione con singola impugnatura è di 699 euro.

Pluto trigger
Finally I received my new Pluto trigger, an high-speed camera trigger that allows to apply some functions on your DSLR, by connecting Pluto with the Pluto app on your iOS or Android smartphone via Bluetooth.
The app is easy to use and it’s divided into four different sections: Intervalometer, Pluto Sensors, Smart Sensors and Tools. In the first section there are all the basic functions, like timelapse, startrail, HDR and timer. In the second section we can find all the functions of Pluto’s sensors, like laser, sound, light and fusion. Fusion allows you to combine the use of some Pluto’s sensors.
In the third section there are the functions that use the sensors of the smartphone.
The last section is very useful and include some tools to calculate depth of field, sun position, ND filter and a light meter.
Pluto has a battery that allows you to use it for about 10 hours, and it can be charged via USB. Pluto’s sensors are magic and, each of them, has a meter that will measure the input, such as light.
The cost for the trigger is 119 USD and, separately, you can buy a Pluto Water Valve for 40 USD, a specifically designed valve for droplet photography.
FinaImente ho ricevuto il Pluto trigger, un trigger per fotografia ad alta velocità che permette di applicare varie funzioni alla tua reflex, connettendo il trigger con l' app di Pluto trigger su uno smartphone iOS o Android.
L'app è facile da usare ed è suddivisa in quattro sezioni: intervallometro, sensori di Pluto, sensori intelligenti e strumenti.
Nella prima sezione sono presenti le funzioni basiche, come timelapse, startrail, HDR e timer. Nella seconda sezione si trovano tutte le funzioni che utulizzano i sensori di Pluto trigger, come la funzione laser, suono, luce e fusione.
La modalità fusione permette di combinare l' uso di più sensori contemporaneamente.
Nella terza sezione, invece, sono presenti Funzionalità che utilizzano i sensori dello smartphone. Nell'ultima sezione sono invece presenti molti strumenti utili, tra cui quello per calcolare la profondità di campo, la posizione del sole, il filtro ND e l' esposimetro.
Pluto è dotato di una batteria che ne permette l' utilizzo per circa 10 ore, e può essere ricaricata tramite apposito cavo USB. I sensori di Pluto sono magici e, ognuno di essi è dotato di un misuratore per l' input, come per esempio la luce.
Il costo del trigger è di 119 EURO e, separatamente, è possibile acquistare una valvola Pluto per 40 EURO, valvola specifica per la fotografia di gocce ad alta velocità.
